About Me
I am a contemporary painter and illustrator of landscapes and wildlife, inspired by my experiences growing up and living in the American West.
My creative spirit sprang from an active imagination, cultivated through private lessons, higher education courses, and trial and error. Influenced by surrealism, pop, and folk art, I combine my artmaking interests with my Anthropology and Wildlife Conservation degrees.
The Western United States mountains, deserts, and wildlife that call them home are at the core of my artistic vision. These awe-inspiring places offer an endless well of inspiration, and each piece I create reflects both the external world and my inner journey. My work is not just about capturing beauty; it’s about feeling it, understanding it, and sharing it with others.
I strive to create spaces where color and light come alive. I want my work to feel like a conversation, one that invites people in to pause, reflect, and discover something new. Each piece carries a little piece of my heart and an invitation to explore, connect, and find joy in the little wonders of the world.
I primarily work in oils and acrylics but also experiment with other mediums such as watercolor, gouache, pastel, and fiber.
Right now, I’m especially drawn to the spirit of mountain and desert landscapes and the beautiful creatures that inhabit these wild places. My art is my way of sharing these sacred spaces with others and offering a glimpse into a world where nature’s beauty feels both timeless and deeply personal.
I exhibit my work nationally and have been featured in public installations worldwide. I am a member of the Women’s Caucus for Art, (WCA & WCACO), and Cowgirl Artists of America. I work and reside in Seattle, Washington.
