About Me

A woman with blonde hair and glasses sitting at a table, holding paintbrushes, in front of a brick wall with a painting of a buffalo and wings.

I’m a contemporary artist based in Seattle, Washington. My work is rooted in the landscapes and layered narratives of the American West, shaped by a childhood spent in the Rocky Mountains and informed by academic studies in anthropology and wildlife conservation.

I blend stylized realism with abstraction and surrealist influence, working primarily in oil and acrylic to explore themes of presence, instinct, and place. Western iconography, folk traditions, and a restrained palette guide my compositions, which often dwell in the space between the seen and the symbolic. I also work in watercolor, gouache, fiber, and wood. I’m always seeking tactile ways to connect with story and land.

My paintings reflect a lifelong closeness to nature and a fascination with the mythos of the West: its animals, landscapes, and cultural archetypes. I aim to create work that invites reflection, evokes memory, and honors the rugged beauty and mystery of wild places.

My work has been exhibited nationally and recognized with awards. I’m proud to be a member of the Women’s Caucus for Art, Cowgirl Artists of America, and the Woodinville Arts Alliance. I live and work in Seattle, where the Pacific Northwest’s wild edges continue to shape my creative path.
