One Eye Out West Giclee Print
Giclee print of my original painting created in 2024. The print measures 20x10 with a .5 border on all sides. Print made using archival paper and inks. The original may have sold but you can still grab a print of this Big Boi to add to your collection.
Longhorn cattle are synonymous with Texas. When you think of the Lone Star state, the phrase “everything is bigger in Texas”, usually comes to mind. Images of big skies, bluebonnets, cowboys, convertible Cadillacs, and longhorn cattle likely dance in your mind’s eye. However, the story of the Longhorn goes beyond a symbol of Texas. They are an emblem of the untamed spirit of the American West. They are deeply embedded in over five centuries of American history, the heart and soul of frontier legends, making them gatekeepers of a wild, bygone era. Their story has inspired this painting. “One Eye”, named for the dark patch around his right eye, stands proudly against a vivid, pink sky. He embodies the role of guardian at the gateway to the boundless western frontier. His gaze, powerful and penetrating, holds untold stories of the wild, bittersweet history that defines the spirit of the American West.
